Why Should Patients Try Sightline?

  1. SIGHTLINE conforms directly to the guidelines of The American Academy of Ophthalmologist ("All ophthalmologists have a minimum responsibility to recommend vision rehabilitation as a continuum of their care and to provide information about rehabilitation resources for patients with vision loss that impacts function." AAO, Vision Rehabilitation for Adults, 2nd printing 2010).

  2. SIGHTLINE has been reviewed, refined and endorsed by Dr. Donald C. Fletcher, leading Low Vision Ophthalmologist in the USA and former chairman of AAO, Committee on Low Vision (link to Fletcher bio).

  3. SIGHTLINE treatment complies fully with Medicare Part A guidelines as a qualified treatment for vision rehabilitation.

  4. There is no out-of-pocket cost to patients who qualify under Medicare Part A.

  5. In some cases, injectible drugs can be used to slow progression of vision loss. Once the injections are finished or in those cases where they do not apply (85%), there are no medical or surgical treatments available.

  6. SIGHTLINE is, by far, the most comprehensive vision rehabilitation program available in SEFL today. No other program provides fully integrated eccentric viewing training and home ergonomics to patients in their home. None.

  7. SIGHTLINE results have been demonstrated and document for over 200 patients in the last 12 months.
