Who Pays for Sightline and How Long Does it Take?
SIGHTLINE is fully reimbursed under Medicare Part A for those who qualify. Patients must be eligible for Medicare Part A and have 20/70 or lower acuity
in the better-seeing eye. They must also require assistance to travel outside the home.
SIGHTLINE treatment comprises 14-16 sessions over 8 weeks. All treatments are provided in the home by a specially trained SIGHTLINE Therapist, who is also a licensed,
registered Occupational Therapist. Sessions last 60-75 minutes each. Patients must also practice some on their own, if they hope to derive full benefit.
Managed Care plans do not offer reimbursement for low vision rehabilitation, however individuals not eligible under Medicare may pay directly.
